Blended Rhythm
The band was started in 2007 by Lisa and Jody after playing together for her sister Kari and his wedding. They realized that they had a unique connection with music and began writing together and the story just keeps going. The band then grew to include drummer Rebecca Norris and Bass Player Amber Kinsey. In 218 tragedy hit the band with the unfortunate and sudden passing of Lead Guitar Player and co-founder Jody Helm in 2018. The band still tries to get together and play as often as possible but have gone on to do their separate journeys as well
Live Life in Song
Lisa is her happiest when on stage performing for others wither by singing her own music or playing covers. Currently you can find her almost every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday sharing the stage with this incredible group of gentleman at The Alabama Gulf Coast Music Hall in Foley, AL. The Favorites Band play a mixture of country, rock, pop, and oldies but goodies
1st CD Release
With the first album release I wanted to give honor to all of ones that have gotten me to this point. The title of the album One More has two nods to it with the first being the name of a song that Jody and I wrote back in 2014 in our friend Ray who was taken from us to soon; it was also the name of the first album Blended Rhythm release in 2014. The artwork (BR) was the logo that Jody and I created for our band in 2013. in the inside panel and on the CD itself you will find several more nods to Jody and the band. All seven songs were written by either Lisa or Lisa and Jody and all of the music features Jody playing and singing background vocals.
